You must be at least 13 years old to use ShelfTruth. If you are under 18, you represent that you have your parent or guardian's consent to use the App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet the eligibility requirements and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms.

To access certain features of the App, you may need to create an account. When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current, and complete information
• Maintain and update your information as necessary
• Keep your login credentials secure and confidential
• Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or that we believe are being used fraudulently.

Free Tier

ShelfTruth offers a free tier with limited features, including a daily scan limit. Free users may access basic product information and limited change history.

Premium Subscription

ShelfTruth Premium provides access to enhanced features including unlimited scans, full change timelines, EU product comparisons, and swap recommendations. Premium subscriptions are available on a monthly or annual basis.

Billing

• Subscriptions are processed through Apple's App Store or Google Play Store
• Payment is charged to your app store account at confirmation of purchase
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period
• Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period

Cancellation and Refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple App Store or Google Play Store account settings. Upon cancellation, your premium access will continue until the end of the current billing period. Refunds are handled according to the applicable app store's refund policy.

You agree to use ShelfTruth only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Use the App in any manner that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our servers or networks
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App, other accounts, or any systems or networks connected to ShelfTruth
• Use any automated means (bots, scrapers, crawlers) to access or collect data from the App
• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble any portion of the App
• Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent community reports
• Upload content that is offensive, defamatory, abusive, or violates the rights of others
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity
• Use the App to distribute spam, malware, or other harmful content
• Circumvent any scan limits, access controls, or other restrictions imposed on your account

Your Content

ShelfTruth allows users to submit community reports about product changes, including text descriptions and photos ("User Content"). You retain ownership of any User Content you submit.

License Grant

By submitting User Content, you grant ShelfTruth a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, transferable, sublicensable license to use, reproduce, display, distribute, and modify your User Content in connection with operating and improving the App. This license continues even if you stop using the App or delete your account, as your reports may have been incorporated into the product database.

Content Standards

You represent and warrant that your User Content:

• Is accurate and reflects genuine product observations
• Does not infringe any third-party intellectual property rights
• Does not contain any unlawful, defamatory, or harmful material
• Complies with all applicable laws and regulations

Moderation

We reserve the right to review, edit, or remove any User Content at our sole discretion, including content that violates these Terms or that we deem inappropriate. We are not obligated to monitor User Content but may do so as needed.

ShelfTruth awards "Truth Points" to users who contribute community reports and engage with the platform. Truth Points are a gamification feature and:

• Have no monetary or cash value
• Cannot be exchanged, transferred, or redeemed for currency or goods
• May be adjusted, reset, or removed at our discretion
• Do not constitute property or any enforceable right

We reserve the right to modify the Truth Points system, including how points are earned and displayed, at any time without notice.

The App and its entire contents, features, and functionality (including but not limited to all information, software, text, displays, images, and the design, selection, and arrangement thereof) are owned by Mus LLC, its licensors, or other providers of such material, and are protected by United States and international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.

The ShelfTruth name, logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of Mus LLC. You may not use such marks without our prior written permission.

Product Information

Product names, brands, images, and related data displayed in the App belong to their respective owners. ShelfTruth's use of such information is for informational purposes and does not imply any endorsement or affiliation with those brands.

THE APP IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

ShelfTruth does not warrant that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free
• The information provided through the App is complete, accurate, or reliable
• Any defects or errors in the App will be corrected

Not Medical or Nutritional Advice

The information provided through ShelfTruth, including ingredient data, product changes, and comparison information, is for informational purposes only. It is not intended as medical, nutritional, dietary, or health advice. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional regarding dietary decisions, food allergies, or health concerns. ShelfTruth is not responsible for any health decisions made based on information in the App.

Data Accuracy

Product information in ShelfTruth is sourced from public databases, community reports, and manufacturer data. While we strive for accuracy, we cannot guarantee that all product information is current, complete, or error-free. Product formulations may change without notice, and there may be delays between a product change and its reflection in the App.

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL MUS LLC, ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR ACCESS TO OR USE OF (OR INABILITY TO USE) THE APP.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE APP EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU HAVE PAID US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE LIABILITY, OR FIFTY DOLLARS ($50), WHICHEVER IS GREATER.

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Mus LLC and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or in connection with:

• Your use of the App
• Your violation of these Terms
• Your User Content
• Your violation of any rights of another party

We may terminate or suspend your account and access to the App immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination:

• Your right to use the App will immediately cease
• Any active subscription will not be refunded for the remaining period (though you may request a refund through your app store)
• We may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy

You may delete your account at any time through the App settings. Provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive, including ownership, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. Arbitration shall take place in Texas, and the arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding.

You agree that any dispute resolution proceedings will be conducted on an individual basis and not as a class action, class arbitration, or other representative proceeding.

Exception: Either party may seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement of intellectual property rights.
